The start of a new chapter

The start of a new chapter

This past week the Lord has shown me what life is really about
As I started voluteering this week as a community mentor for Erskine Green Training my heart only filled with love and commpassion.
Does your heart ever break for what breaks Jesus's heart?
That was me all week long.
I have three amazing girls that I get the honor of mentoring for the next eight weeks
That's THREE life's I get to impact
That's THREE life's that get to impact MY life.
Pita Pit was her pick yesterday
My first week voluteering was nothing short of awesome!
From walking the mall to grabbing food to swimming 15 laps getting beat every single time
It's safe to say I was beat by the end of this week.

She is a super swimmer!
As hard as I tried I just couldn't keep up...
I am thankful that Dystonia allowed me to swim that much.
I'm sure I'll pay for it later.

Who doesn't love to stop at Bath in Body works and smell all those smells?!
We decided we liked all of the smells.

The Lord has good plans for all of us who are willing to follow him. He sometimes uses our struggles to impact others. This week I turned a page in the DMRF'S magazine to find this...Even in the mist of the daily struggles of dystonia the Lord works in a mighty way that no man can undo. Shine for Jesus!

My week ended in a bitter sweet good-bye to the best speech theriapst I could've ever asked for.
Blake from day one made me less scared.
I have a whole new appreciation for others in this career.
I realized the heart that Blake had for this quickly
I also realized he was cheering me on every single week.
I'm sure dystonia challenged him but he did an awesome job and I am so thankful that he never once gave up.
We were able to make an awesome video to hopefully help others across the world understand that while speech therapy maybe scary at first it gets better!
I'm honored to have got to do such a video with him.
What better way to end speech therapy?!
Ohh and I was able to read a book fully by myself without wanting to throw the book at Blake!
He worked just as hard if not harder then myself...even on those days I said "I can't"
Apparently he doesn't like those words to much because he made me keep going!
Thanks for helping me accomplish so much, Blake!

In the mist of our messy world there IS still good.
